About Me
Nikki has been a dedicated student of yoga since 1995 and began teaching in 2009.
Over the years she has studied with many senior international teachers across different traditions, including Ashtanga, Jivamukti and Sivananda. Her teaching is shaped by these lineages, together with modern approaches, creating a unique blend of physical practice and spiritual depth.
Nikki is an advanced certified teacher, adding to her original 300hr teacher training in 2009 with her 300hr Sivananda TT, and more recently her 300hr Jivamukti method TT in India. She teaches Jivamukti and Sivananda classes, combining these wonderful methods with modern yogic concepts, to bring a unique, physical and spiritual practise to all students.
Her yearly 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is all affiliated with Yoga Alliance Professionals and having gained a senior teacher and workshop certificate with YAP she runs workshops and ‘continued professional development days’ (cpd) for yoga teachers wanting to learn and develop their teaching knowledge and skills.
Her classes carry the energy of all these influences — sometimes calm and grounding, other times dynamic, uplifting and full of heat — always supported by a playlist that matches the mood. Yoga philosophy is an important part of Nikki’s approach, and she often weaves in short reflections on yogic texts and how their teachings can support life off the mat.
When she isn’t teaching, Nikki is a busy mum of four and a loving dog mum of three. Her own practice, together with the grounding principles of yoga, helps her navigate family life, home and work with steadiness and joy.
